A porcelain horror is a life-size porcelain figure animated by Eliza Farrowfield, mistress of Sutgate House. Once a famed sculptor, Farrowfield fell from grace when it was discovered that she had made a pact with the devil and had fornicated with his brood. Since that revelation, she has sealed herself within her manor house; none know how she sustains her life or the lives of her servants, for though people have been seen moving past the house's windows, none have ever left its walls for the past decade.
Farrowfield uses the porcelain horrors as her first line of defense against angry mobs coming from the nearby town--thus far, Sutgate has remained unassailable, and few have dared to brave the porcelain grotesques that guard it. For reasons known only to Eliza, she creates these porcelain figures in the forms of beautiful, but mutilated, young women.
- Cool Touch of Death: the touch of a porcelain horror freezes the blood of its victim within their veins.
- Construct: they are immune to mind-affecting abilities, poison, disease, etc.
- Hard Glaze: despite their apparent fragility, they are glazed with a magical compound that makes them surprisingly durable.
- Handle With Care: Any blunt or bludgeoning weapons used against them cause extra damage.
